We make the certification process simple. After we have received your application we appoint a client manager who will guide you and your business through the following steps.

    1. Gap analysis -
This is an optional pre-assessment service where we take a closer look at your existing environmental management system and compare it with ISO 14001 requirements. This helps identify areas that need more work before we carry out a formal assessment, saving you time and money.

    1. Formal assessment -
This happens in two stages. First we review your organization’s preparedness for assessment by checking if the necessary ISO 14001 procedures and controls have been developed. We will share the details of our findings with you so that if we find gaps, you can close them. If all the requirements are in place, we will then assess the implementation of the procedures and controls within your organization to make sure that they are working effectively as required for certification.

  1. Certification and beyond -
When you have passed the formal assessment you will receive an ISO 14001 certificate, which is valid for three years. Your client manager will stay in touch during this time, paying you regular visits to make sure your system doesn’t just remain compliant, but that it continually improves

ISO 14001 2015 EMS is the latest version of the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS), and it offers several key advantages:

  1. Improved Environmental Performance: It helps organizations enhance their environmental performance by setting up an EMS that allows better control over environmental impact, helping to reduce waste, energy consumption, and emissions.

  2. Risk-Based Approach: The 2015 revision emphasizes identifying and addressing environmental risks and opportunities within the organization's processes, which helps prevent issues before they arise.

  3. Alignment with Business Strategy: The standard encourages integrating environmental management into the organization’s overall business strategy, making sustainability a core part of the business operations.

  4. Leadership Engagement: The updated version places greater emphasis on leadership commitment and involvement in environmental practices, ensuring that top management plays a central role in driving the EMS.

  5. Lifecycle Perspective: ISO 14001:2015 looks at environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of products and services, promoting more sustainable practices across every stage.

  6. Simplified Structure: The high-level structure (HLS) of the standard aligns with other ISO management system standards, making it easier for organizations to integrate multiple systems (like ISO 9001 for quality management) into one cohesive strategy.

  7. Continuous Improvement: As with other ISO standards, the 14001:2015 encourages ongoing improvement, fostering a culture of continual environmental performance enhancement.

Overall, ISO 14001:2015 supports organizations in reducing their environmental footprint, complying with regulations, and enhancing their reputation as responsible corporate entities.
