Providing an awareness of general workplace health and safety
This IOSH course is an international safety certificate based on best practice and provides an awareness of general workplace hazards and focuses on why health and safety is important to the well-being of the individual worker and those around them. The course is equivalent to a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
Recent statistics have shown that up to 555,000 injuries occur at work every year. The IOSH Working Safely course helps organisations avoid accidental injury by operating safely and healthily.
IOSH Working Safely is an essential course for employees of organisations in any industry sector who need a grounding in health and safety.
IOSH Working Safely covers the essentials of health and safety in the workplace.
The course is divided into four modules:
The course is taught over one-day via classroom learning or 4-8 hours for online course.
Assessment depends on how you choose to study. If you study in the classroom the multiple-choice examination and hazard spotting exercise are completed at the end of the course. If you study online, the course and assessment must be completed within five months of registration.
Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, students are awarded a Working Safely certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the world’s largest health and safety membership organisation.
We recognise that everyone is different, which is why we offer a choice of study routes. You can attend a course at our live virtual classrooms, at one of our training centres or start studying immediately by taking the course online.
